France TV’s Preview Service is a global video platform for journalists, bloggers and the online community contributing to the French national public television broadcaster – France Télévisions. The playout channel of France TV’s Preview Service provides a large, global audience with up-to-date information and exclusive previews of upcoming features on all 10 national channels as well as the 13 regional channels. 

Together with MAM manufacturer Flow Works (Germany) and integration partners Askida-Taldea (France), we built a system in two tiers. The Flow Center backend provides the media ingest, processing engine, editorial management layer/archive, as well as the publication engine. It allows the editorial staff full control and transparency. The playout site, also built by Flow Works, operates fully automatically based on automated/manual editorial decisions by the editorial staff in the backend. No CMS is needed; all publications are instant. Playout is backed up by a CDN, also managed and handled automatically by Flow Center. 

The platform was launched in November 2018 and has constantly been updated.
